Ghost Puzzler (iFrame)

UPDATE in 'playing' ghost puzzler. I would not say this is entirely a cheat....its more like strategy+cheat. Some would need to try several times to get a high score.

Ghost puzzler has returned.....

First, after start the game, try as fast as possible to match those easy ones to reduce the number of tiles.

Then, download this software.

Open the application and make sure to tick on the 'Smart Click' and 'Keep on top'. The click interval is the time you want to set for the delay between each clicks. In this example, I am using 3/10 seconds. (Too fast is not a good! Because you might get an unreasonable high score!)

After that, press F4 button on your keyboard. This will initiate the recording mode.

Next part is the trickiest part. It requires your imagination to think ahead. Click and hold on the 'Record' and point towards the tiles number '1' as shown and let go your click. This will record the first click on that coordinate of your screen. Next, click and hold on the 'Record' again and let it go when you point it to another matching tile, number '2'. You can now see that you've already recorded 2 coordinates in sequence.

Continue recording for all the tiles. You need some imagination and memorizing the clicks here! Maybe you'll need a few tries to get used to it. Don't worry, you have plenty of time as the timer for the points already stop counting.

After you have recorded all the coordinates in sequence (as shown here is 36 records), press F4 again. Remember, do not scroll the page.

After you've pressed F4, this window will pop up again with 36 records. Then, its time for the automated clicks! Press F3 button on your keyboard.

You'll understand it after a few tries.

Puzzler

In my previous post here, I've shown you all how to hack the Ghost Puzzler in the Ghost Trapper game. The game developer has now implemented iframe elements to their application due to the recent changes in Facebook.

The ghost puzzler has returned with the so called 'anti-cheat system'. This means that if you follow the method shown here, you'll be banned! The developers are trying very hard to provide us a fair game....and I do respect their efforts!

The new prizes they offer are:

• 2700 points: Ghost puzzler ID badge
• 2800 points: Frozen mist recipe
• 2900 points: Biochemist Dana Hunter

Actually, there is a method to overcome this 'anti-cheat system'. But, I think its a bit 'technical' and tricky. So, I'll stop here while I find a simpler way to show you all.

What's INSIDE your NOTEBOOK?

Have you ever wonder what's inside your notebook?

 

This is a typical CompaQ notebook. Looks nice and new. But, when you are frustrated with its notorious under-performance cooling system, disassemble it!

Surprise!! This is what you see...sorry for the blur image.. (i'm still using 2.0 MP handphone camera)

Look at the 'damage' done...Fortunately, its not really a damage. Its just what you see when you take off every pieces of the notebook just for the sake of cleaning the notebook's internal fan system.

UNIMAS Website Hacked

Do you know the reason behind the slow internet connectivity in UNIMAS (even at CAIS – the magnificent library) or why you are connected to the internet with a very fast connection but you could not even load a page unless you refreshed the page hundreds of times to get it loaded and the page still show some errors?

Thanks to the Indonesian Hackers that all of the people in UNIMAS are facing this disaster. Around the end of September (about 28 Sept), UNIMAS website has been hacked by Indonesian hackers (or crackers for those who understand).

They changed the homepage of UNIMAS official website including all the sub-sites (*.unimas.my) which the professional network security termed it as “website defacement” technique. Its not a virus attack but I know most of the people out there are more familiar with the word “virus attack”. Website defacement is harmless actually except causes some annoyances and in some cases, as a distracting attack for another backdoor attack to the server.

Although the technological department in UNIMAS, namely CICTS, had changed all the websites with new design, but there are still some links that do not work. Maybe they are still in the process of developing it while increasing its security.

However, what can be sure is that after the attack from the system crackers from Indonesia, users that uses the university’s internet connection could not load web pages properly and often need numerous reloading and refreshes to load a simple page.

Fortunately, these problems are having lesser impact on users day after days since that incident. This shows that they are really fixing it! (which is why I am able to post some blogs using Windows Live Writer).

Hacking Ghost Puzzler

Ghost Trapper is a popular game in Facebook developed by Diviad. Its an interesting game that it even have a GT Wiki for this game. The wiki act as a guide for those newbies and veteran to plan their strategies throughout the game. Anyone who wanted to know more about this game can view their wiki page.

The game takes place in a fantasy version of Scotland. Players assume the roles of agents whose tasks are to expose funny ghosts to the unsuspecting world. They do so by taking pictures of the ghosts and collecting them in their photo album. Ghosts can be lured into the traps with the thing they love most: whisky!

Ghost Puzzler is one of the sub-game from Ghost Trapper. Its a game that was developed recently for the players to kill some time before their next hunt. There will be special prize given out to those that achieve the score of 2650 (Puzzler ID), 2750 (Lori Companion) and 2850 (Ekaterina Rubikski Contract). The maximum point for this game is 3200 (which is virtually impossible).

The puzzle that need to be solved by clicking 2 tiles of the same ghost. The tiles may be next to each other or can be connected by a line that is not interrupted by other tiles and that does not bend more than two times.

I will show you all the method to achieve the maximum score which is 3200 but i would advice everyone to try at your own risk. This is because it violates the game's rules and also the purpose of the game. Moreover, if you get the maximum score or around those score that are virtually impossible, your name will be listed in the "Hall Of Shame" instead of "Hall of Fame"! (as shown in the last picture below)

First, enter the puzzler game (browser tested is Firefox 3.5.3) until you reach the screen as above.

Then, start the application Cheat Engine 5.5 which could be downloaded from this. Click the computer icon as shown in the picture above.

Then, the process list will popup. Select Firefox and click open.

Lastly, enable the speedhack and change the value of the speed to 0.01 (or any desired speed) and then click apply. This speedhack slows down all flash type of applications and with this, the time for the Ghost Puzzler will be ticking slowly. You will have plenty of time to solve the puzzle.

Bear in mind, however, that you will have the possibility of being banned and your Hall of Fame will be changed to "Hall of Shame". Unless, maybe you can try to achieve the score of 2850-2900 but not the maximum score of 3200 so that no one will realise that you are cheating. I haven't tried it, so i am not sure whether this method will still label you as cheater.

Finally, enjoy the game as it is and cheating and hacking will only spoils the challenges and fun of the game. When you achieved something that is hard to achieve, you will have a better self-satisfaction rather than taking a short cut.

Cool Picture Effects

Recently found a cool website that could transform any of your picture to a cool picture. It uses some sort of face detection technology to identify your face in the picture and then cut it out and paste it smartly into another cool picture that you have chosen. There is also a new selection which the picture is a moving picture.

Kaspersky

Kaspersky is a well known anti-virus company which offers their product with a price. Today, I am going to show you all a way to get free key for this antivirus program. First of all, what you need is an internet browser which I think its not a problem as you all manage to view this page. Then, download the trial version of Kaspersky 2009 (KAV or KIS) that you prefer to use. Its better to get an older version of Kaspersky. If your computer have installed any other antivirus program, uninstall it and install Kaspersky antivirus that you have downloaded. Use the activate trial version first. Update your virus definition (to lower the chances of letting Kaspersky to blacklist your newly found free key later). Then, you have to disable or pause the protection of Kaspersky products.

After you have done all the above, go to this web site. Although this website is written in Chinese, but it also offers some English words and the way to download the key is simple. Just go through the list and pick a random link that offers the longest usable date and click it. You will be redirected to another page where you can download your key. With some luck, the key you download is compatible, not blacklisted and can be activated. If not, you have to enter the website again and download another key and try out your luck. To increase the chances of not getting blacklisted when activating the key, disconnect your internet connection before activating it. Enjoy! :D
